ahhh you're talking serious monitors made for studio applications!

Tannoy is defenitely a great brand and these speakers are niceee

but you know that studio monitors aren't "decent" for at home mixing if that's your plans ....
........if your producing then they're perfect

if you're gonna mix I'd suggest get them and add a subwoofer .... you're always gonna get a straight flat non tinted sound coming out of studio mons ....

to conclude it's a question of personnal pref .... personnaly I'd suggest Krk monitors over anything if you want to talk serious mixing hearing response + a sub

basically what you gonna do with them ?

mixing in my basement. I want Active speakers, and I know these are good studio monitors

but like you said, I didnt think they would be bassy enuf for Djing purposes.

and I liked the fact that they are small. Like even a JBL Eon G2 10 is a big speaker, and then u need a stand. Whereas the Tannoys are bookshelf style.

well if you gotta keep that small size ... buy them and add a sub ... but not everyone likes that type of setup ...

if you want bookshelf speakers with bass most defenitely get some Krk these are beasts!

If you want big bass at home that's a delicate situation ....
1) take the big stuff and have it sounding like crap when you play it at low levels
2) take smaller stuff with a sub and it'll still be good for all your dj at home needs cause you're not going to plan on tearing the roof off so no need for huge power ..

hands down I say get small mons + sub ....
