Yes its in DC and yes we are all mad that we can’t afford Lavo but
1) Tiesto is an amazing DJ with some amazing accomplishments.
2) The show is sold out at Fur, something that Armin, Emery and Tyas have not been able to do. (All who also are great DJs in their own right and IMO)

So why discuss a sold out show that’s 231 miles from NYC on the New York TA board? Good question, here are top 5 reasons

5) Its Tijs at the decks!!! Really, no need to read any further
4) There is no DC/Philly Forum.
3) Fur’s sound and light blow away two-thirds of the clubs in NYC.
2) Tijs is going to drop classic trance hour 3 to hour 4!
1) A round trip Amtrak ticket, entrance to Fur and 15 drinks is STILL cheaper than going Lavo.

PS - Words like "sell out" and "pop" are thrown haphazzardly out describing 2010 Tiesto, but you can't take away the foundation he has built for EDM and 10 years of accomplishments.

Wow, i just got back in, and what can I say, besides this blew my mind.

for 4.5 hours he played everything from House, to Dirty Dutch, semi Bmore Club, small dose of Dubstep, Vocal house, small amounts of trance, tech house, and more awesomeness. I love the fact that you can no longer pigeon hole or define his sound anymore. I had no idea when he actually quite playing but it was after 430. If you hated Tiesto cuz he was a former trance DJ, than you should have come to this!

Thanks for your post, i agree 100%. Still driving home. The first ten tracks I was WTF!!! No trance for you! Sure we heard traffic and A4S plus several from Kalediscope. i don't think that was axwell's remix of let it go, then again, I've never heard it on a proper sound system.... whoever did that forever young remix should have used the original alphaville session. oh yeah, he played my feelings for you by avicii and seb drums

and then sweet dreams vs, sweet disposition was the mash up of that...

the remix of one sounded an awful lot like...


which would be reeaaallly surprising. but I think it was to be honest.


But for me... the highlight of the night was... making out with a girl who was an ass gyration machine during the break, build up and drop of Silence. some movie shit.

but the REAL highlight was when roberto was closing and I looked over at Casey and was like, "dude! did you hear that? he's playing your remix of roadklill" and casey was like, "uhh... no he's not man" but I SWORE i heard him tease it. And 5 mins later breakfast and I were going nuts in the middle of the dance floor as berto dropped Dubfire - Roadkill (Breakfast Remix). I'll never forget the first time I heard MiKE drop that at Rebel a few years ago and I bugged out hard. I think that's when my candy marching lessons began. so yeah, good shit.

That was my first time ever seeing Tiesto and I regret never going out of my way to see him before. I wish I could have heard him spinning trance 7 years ago. It was good though. He was spinning pretty hard at times, the crowd was fucking NUTS. i didnt dare attempt to get in it until the very end. And he did do a really great job of mixing up all the diff styles of EDM. Although I must have been outside when he played dubstep. cause if I had heardt hat I woulda gone nuts. I love hearing dubstep in small doses out of nowhere at the club

Yes the diverse track selection made it interesting for sure.

i dont think it was sweet ghostship. i think avicii played that at the zoo though. it was DEFINITELY sweet disposition with the lyrics of sweet dreams. that much i knwof or sure. cause that mash has been going around

it was Roberto that played roadkill, not tijs. and yeah, its always nice when a DJ works in a good tease,

if by celebs you mean wasted Capitals players then yes. at one point it was just Ovi behind the decks on the mic screaming. LOOL
