I was going to suggest the Audio 8.

Audio2dj audio8 is the best stuff, sound cards dessigned specifically for what you want, but take a look at festival setups and see if they use something different

Doesn't matter whether it's for Traktor or not, all you're after is an interface with 4 stereo outs and a MIDI input. There are quite a few models kicking around which will do that.

M-Audio Fast Track Pro 4x4 would do the job, as would the Alesis iO|26 26 and there are probably quite a few others. The Audio 8 is more purpose-built for the job (Audio 4 hasn't got enough outputs), but that doesn't make it your only option.

I'm assuming you're planning to mix in audio on the DJM800 (so that you can still use the FX etc)... Otherwise you could use the DJM800 to control the mixer within Traktor, then you'd only need 2 stereo outs (one for the master channel and one for headphones)


I'm assuming you're planning to have another MIDI controller for transport (play/pause, cue, seeking etc)? Personally I think doing all that stuff with the DJM800 would be a bit awkward, it hasn't got enough buttons! I'm not sure what you'd assign to what, In fact I'm not sure what you'd intend to control with the MIDI capabilities of the DJM800 at all (other than the mixer in Traktor, which might be better done in audio rather than MIDI anyway)

If so, it might be worth looking at MIDI controllers with built-in soundcards - like the A&H Xone:2D or Vestax VCM-100, both of which have at least 4 stereo outputs (although the VCM-100 doesn't have a MIDI input, but you could pick up a small MIDI-only interface to cover that pretty cheaply).

Technically Stu Woscar is correct I think as he's referring to timecode control.

Although that isn't what the OP was asking as i don't think he intends to use timecode control with his setup. So any soundcard will do the job, just depends on how many outs you want/need as you've mentioned above.
