This is a mix very close to my heart. I love this sound and had wanted to do a mix like this for some time. It's deep, dark tribal and tech house, at times bordering on trance. It ranges from sensitive and atmospheric sounds to raging tribal dance beats and trance-inducing minimal melodies and rhythms. I have a radio station where I go to school and we are going to start 2 hour weekly features for local DJs, ala Radio 1 EM, so this mix lasts about two hours.

already had a listen a couple days ago. the mixing and blends are spot on, your edits are always enjoyable. i thought there were some clipping issues near the beginning but it could have just been my ears?? the overall sound of the mix is very reminiscent of your style as a DJ i think this is definately your sound. not much criticism i can offer here. did you go easy on the effects here? i couldnt seem to tell if you were using live's built in effects at all or if it was the tracks, either way if you were it was in good taste so thats a good thing. ofcourse your warping was spot on. looking forward to the next mix adam.

Thanks for your comments. This is definitely music I believe in. I am a little hesitant to use live's effects because I am not sure they sound that great, but there is slight usage of beat repeat, some filtering, a bit of bit reduction.

Not much of an effects guy as it is, most of what I do is in the overlay of the tracks, and the dialogue between them. I do a lot of looping and live resequencing of tracks, and there are a couple half-step key changes in here in very specific places. With this mix I also opted for triggering samples rather than effects to keep it moving - there are gorillas, thunderclaps, pattering raindrops, cicadas, birds, and more, this is music for fucking jungles after all.

Really appreciate anyone listening and comments keep the gears turning.

I saw this in your sig and the name interested me. I'm not usually into this stuff, but your posts around the place have been very good so I thought I'd trust to your taste. I'm only 15 minutes in but I'm enjoying it a lot so far. I'll post again when I've played the whole thing.

Downloaded awhile ago, just got around to having a decent listen and it's an impressive bit of work you've managed to come up with. Can't really fault the mixing and while its generally a little slower to most of the D&B/Jungle I listen too its consistantly good and in theme with what you where hoping to achieve.

Hmm the name might have been misleading - in no way is this connected with the breakbeat music known as jungle and drum and bass.

This is music for jungles in the plainest thematic sense of the phrase.

Found this on my hard-drive earlier, don't think I ever did get all the way through it at the time. Talk about a blast from the past - Adam Vana playing prog! You didn't have the same grasp of flow back then, but there are a lot of very cool moments in here, and the ending by Agoria is lovely.
