Even though I do digital DJing as a hobby, this is still pretty sad news. Really shocked to hear it, as Technics were responsible for driving the whole development of the art of DJing. First the Walkman, now this...

I've heard this story reported at least once before, and it turned out to be wrong.

Also, Technics are famously invincible, so you'll still be able to buy them second hand for a while yet.

friend told me the same thing ... but I can attest that none of their major distributors have them on stock...

best way to go now is online ... but since the word has spread around they might sell them very pricey like for 1k vs 550 $ that I got them for .
