Saw one of these in the flesh the other night in a club i play at in Dublin. Had i not been in such a heap the next day i could have popped over to my mates to have a play around with it.

Don't like the look of it personally.
Touch screen thing looks silly. IMO.

ONLY reason i'm considering buying one of these (as a second mixer... still love my A&H xone 92 rotary) is for the cdj-2000 integration.

it does not look good, imo, compared to some other products on the market these days.

another terrible mixer. i think the days of the mixers are gonne, they only get worse now it seems.

Is it just me...or is this mixer just stuffed FULL of features of which 90% of I'll never use/care about, and doesn't it look very intimidating and excessively complicated to use? I mean...cmon...I happen to like Pioneer mixers , but sometimes simplicity is a BEAUTIFUL thing. I own a Rane MP2016, and my rotary does exactly what it was designed for...and doesn't try to be some kind of "all in one wonder-machine". This thing will probably be replaced in a year by a new Pioneer mixer with 1-2 extra features and a price-tag that has doubled (or quadrupled). I'm not just singling out Pioneer here though...Rane is also guilty of this. Check out the new Rane Sixty-Eight. Same shit to me...if I were to consider purchasing a Pioneer, the DJM-400 has everything most DJ's would need, and then some (I hope). Also at a FRACTION of the price of the 2000.

All the bells and whistles on this thing is overkill. I can't even remember the last time I used effects. I don't see myself owning one of these. Especially after having my 1620 completely rehabed.

EXACTLY. And btw, what does rehabed mean?

I'd be perfectly happy playing on one of those - basically means I can leave the EFX at home. Not that I use it much when I do take my EFX to gigs, but the echo, reverb and filters usually get a bit of a workout.

The touchscreen EQ thing is pointless though. Trying to use a touchscreen precisely in the middle of a mix just isn't going to work, unless you're the most steady-handed and inanimate DJ going.
