[Uplifting Trance] Kysora - Vaani

So I spent the hours of 11:30 pm to 5:30 am last night working on this under the influence of a variety of substances. I haven't slept since but I think this sounds rather nice. Might just be me though, this could be garbage, I honestly have no idea. Let me know, I'd appreciate it.

Kysora - Vaani (Original Mix) by Kysora

Cheers.

cool i can tell you were on something when making this i really like the notes you used and the track has that ongoing drive to it.

i think the leads need some beef if i was being fussy but overall i liked the track

I really like the song but I actually had to turn it off before it was over. The mix is just so high pitched it hurts my ears after a while. Just remix it when you sober up and I honestly think you have a winner.

Liking the dark slightly mournful yet exctiable quality in here.
First snare roll upsets the mood though as it's very cliche for me.

Very much like the full bass here - has that hot toffee sound I like.

Liking the little melodies throughout.

Lots going on sometimes but I think you've pulled it off but at the end of break one and ninto the chorus there is a squeakyness you might want to look at - I think it's comming from an organ type sound.

At end of break one I think some sort of silence gap would work well.
Nice chord changes in the chorus.

This sounds like modern tracne to me and I prefer it to your other stuff I heard, so nice one.

I find the percussion quite bland and cliche. Not for me.

What I like about this particular tune is the fast pace. Most tunes within the genre move at a tedious pace with their DJ accessible percussion only intros and outros. However, the transitions are definitely predictable and I doubt it could hurt to do give them a little spice.

Stylish synthwork from you as usual - definitely suitable for that melody.

I'm not really feeling the piano in the breakdown. I think the sound itself is very cheap and the high notes I find kinda crummy.

A solid energy present throughout this tune. It's not my favourite from you and I think some areas could benefit from extra work.

Keep it up, man

I got some feedback from the label manager I'm talking to about this track -- I'm probably going to make an updated version of this taking into consideration what you guys said. Especially the piano, I think there's some really beautiful melodies in there that aren't coming through because of the sample I used and some of the high notes are a bit random sounding.

Thanks guys.

i think your clap is way to big. In fact everything needs a little less reverb. It just sounds like im listening to a track in a tunnel. As usual. you have too many things going on, your synths sound generic and your percussion are so drab and ordinary, IT sounds very dated and forgettable.

AS a general rule, try to at least have one sound that people will go huh, as in how did he do that. Right now, everything is just so damn normal. I wish I could say something nice. There is very little in this track to grasp. Just a wash of prettiesh melodies that don't quite work. The syncopation is rather non existent making the groove static and lifeless.

As proof of concepts go, it's awesome but it's missing space in the high-end. At times it felt like the hats were screaming to be heard out of a deluge of white noise propagated by a white-noise generator or too much verb. There were parts which sounded somewhat sloppily integrated and I think all of the element tracks could stand to be finessed.

That said, I have to dig being able to hear something inspired by psychoactive substances and really like the ideas that came out of the session. I've got a bit of an internet contact high, as a result, and am looking forward to the finished product.

Well to be direct those prettyish melodies were what I was focusing on, not the groove or interesting, unexpected sound design. Could you speak theoretically at all why the melodies didn't work? I did what you talked about on my last track, while I have multiple things going on I lowered the volume and drew less attention to synths as I introduced new ones, I'm doing my best to incorporate advice directly into songs as I make them but I don't exactly know what to take from what you said here.

Thanks for the production criticism though. I'm starting to notice the tunnel-like quality the track is now that I'm listening with fresher (and sober) ears. I'm going to try and address that as much as I can. The clap is a bit obnoxious too, I don't hear that as much with my headphones as I do on other systems.

Thanks to everyone else too.

The mixdown is forgivable under the circumstances.

This one sadly doesn't connect with me if I'm honest. I know it's a purely subjective matter, but there is nothing here that I see would make me remember it or play it.

It's always good for the creative process to do stuff that breaks the norm and you always learn something, if nothing else, how much you can take before you pass out he he.

I think your other tracks are top notch in many ways and would support them until the cows come home.

My two cents worth
Nem
