I really, REALLY didn't like him.... I had the same feelings as last time.
This has nothing to do with his ability - I was amazed with much of his mixing and technical abilities - but with personal taste...
I found the energy levels completely jumping around. It was like ...blah blah blah (boring) DANCE WOOT YAY blah blah blah (boring) DANCE WOOT YAY blah blah blah (boring) DANCE WOOT YAY ....
While I did start to enjoy is a bit more after 3am, at that point my energy level was dead, I was hungry, and it still didn't blow me away. While the argument was made that 'Lee saves the best for last' I personally feel that I shouldn't have to be bored for half of an extended set.
I also found the crowd as boring, creepy, smelly, and strange as the fist time I saw him (of course there were a few pockets of sunshine found throughout the floor).
The sound was overbearing in the front half of the club. So bassy. Really made me regret loosing my earplugs on halloween.
On the plus side - I did really enjoy the installation on the ceiling, Jeff Buttons set was deep and sexy, and the staff from guest list, to bouncers, to bartenders, washroom attendant, coat check, etc was exceptionally awesome and reminded me why I use to frequent FW so regularly.
All in all, I met some great people, had a bit of fun, but Lee Burridge is just not my type of DJ.
Glad you all enjoyed.
