I could not figure out a way to search for this so I figured someone here might know.
Is it possible to route individual FX on the mixer bus to a send for processing and back?
Say for example, I have my compression first, followed by a reveerb. I then want to process the reveerb seperately with a bitcrush, leaving the compressed instrument alone.
Is this possible? Or would I have to do some ghetto exporting workaround?
Oh yeah...cubase5...But an explanation from any DAW would probably work.

I have a pretty ghetto work around in FL Studio when all I want to hear is the send channel. This is what my chain looks like (for this example, I am using a snare):
When I leave the sample active and mute the master-pre channel, or any channel save "Master" and "Snare Sample", I am able to hear everything on my sends.

you would typically have the reverb and bitcrusher on their own bus and use that as a send fx
Alright yeah, seemed to work by creating a group track with reveerb/bitcrush and routing the send there...
Just didn't want the group channel adding anything other than said bitcrushed reveerb. (In my example, can be whatever FX)
Guess I must have screwed something up in my last attempt, as adding a group channel with FX effectively added a clone of the instrument + the FX...(doubling the volume and pwning my ears)
Basically I just wanted to expand my ability to mess with sounds...could possibly make some interesting FX by doing this.
Good deal. cheers.

YOu probably didn't set the mix control on your reverb right. It should be 100% wet if its on a send
