Had a crazy thought to do New Year's Eve in Europe. I could go to a couple dance parties and do a few days of sightseeing. I've been planning to travel abroad anyway.
As expected, the options are boggling... Papa Sven at Cocoon, Villalobos/Luciano at Cocorino, and multiple parties in Berlin have caught my eye.
Having never been to Europe (well the UK once), I wonder if I'm asking for trouble to travel during a major holiday. Anybody do NYE in Europe and have any tips and recommendations?
Thanks.

I just heard about the Space of Sound festival going on in Madrid on New Year's Day. My eyeballs melted when I saw the lineup... Vath, Vilalobos, Ellen Allien, Carl Craig, Chris Liebing and so, so many more.
I think I maybe be heading to Europe for X-mas/NYE as well. I am mainly staying in France but open to fly around for parties. That festival in Madrid looks great. I've seen videos of Cocorico in Italy but its always a sausagefest and I'm not sure if that's how I want to spend my NYE.

No Cocorico for New Year's, most of the club is shut down I think, and the lineups are fairly weak throughout the year, except the summertime! Summertime at Cocorico is amazing though, amazing lineups, and great crowd!
I was in Italy 2 years ago for New Year's, it was sort of a cool experience, but nothing club related and not many parties going on.

Wow they've really upped it haha... I was in the area a couple times throughout the year other than summer, and their lineups were weeeeeak... That lineup's serious!
I saw Riccardo Villalobos vs. Marco Carola there 2 years back, was awesome!!! It's a big club but they're not afraid to pack people in there. I personally wouldn't make that my New Year's destination at midnight, but the party will probably go on til afternoon, so your best bet is to hit it up afterhours!
