I compared the XD 53, HD 25 mk2 and the new Pioneer HDJ 2000s when I was buying headphones. Had no budget really...
Tried the XD 53 first, and was certainly not impressed with them. They sound almost exactly the same to the Stanton DJ Pro 2000 that my dealer gave me for free and they weren't very comfortable since I felt some metal thing stabbing my ear. Don't know how you could justify buying those for such a hefty pricetag.
Tried on the Pioneer HDJ 2000s next and they were IMMENSELY better than the XD 53s. Very comfortable, very lightweight compared to the XD 53 and sound quality's better by quite a margin. The price on them were almost the same and I would've bought the Pioneer even though they were a bit more expensive. The problem is, the ones I tried were a promo pack Pioneer gave to the dealer and they weren't selling them yet. If they were selling them I would've bought them instantly. *random note - imo they look the sleekest out of the 3.
My original intention was to buy the HD 25 and they sound better (much more defined bass because of the mk2 model which had 600 ohms) so it never really distorts even if you crank the volume up way high and the crucial thing that led me to buy them was that they were more lightweight and comfier than the Pioneers and the XD 53. Also, I liked thinking that I was Ricardo Villalobos or Seth Troxler playing in my bedroom. The fact that they were around 50 bucks cheaper also helped.
Haven't tried the 7506 but have heard only great things about them.
So my advise is, get the HD 25 mk2. Don't get the SP1 or the normal HD 25 since they only have 25 ohms and will distort if you crank them up.
