Access Virus TI2 vs Access Virus C

I own an Access Virus C and it's my favorite synth BY FAR! My question is whether the Access Virus TI2 is much different. Will this synth open up a whole new world of sounds for me? You think it would be worth the purchase for me?

(I also own a Novation Nova, Korg 01/W, Emu Turbo XL rack.)

It's different but not different enough. Invest in monitors, a sound card, or something else you probably need that isn't really that fun that you should have bought instead of all those synths.

Anyways, some will disagree but the virus c, and the ti2 sound more or less the same, and as a lot of people will tell you the thing that makes the virus is the effects which are on your computer anyways, and a bit more filter options.

You'll get $700 for your virus c, which is a generous estimate really, and then to buy a ti2 desktop you have to shell out $1,700 if you're buying it used, more if you're buying it new. Just don't do it.

If you're looking for a synth the korg Ms 2000 is pretty cool, just do some research there are many well forgotten synths that are excellent.

Is there a plug-in only version of the Access Virus TI, or do you need the hardware as well?.

If you got the money, why not?

Check the logs, the TI models get updated everytime with new features for free, it's hard to keep track

There are sounds that you won't be able to do with a Virus C ofcourse.

I'm personally staying at the TI1, didn't decide to upgrade to the TI2. I think I'll buy a vintage analog synth like a Jupiter

Hey that Korg Ms 2000 sounds pretty cool for trance! I checked out a few demos on YouTube including a sample and hold video. Seems pretty inexpensive too and there's a few for sale.

Any other recommendations?

So I could sell my Virus C and get a TI2 then without losing my patches?
That's good to know.
I wish Guitar Center had a Virus TI2 demo. Maybe West LA Music has one.

I'd keep the C and get a Nord Rack 2X as well. The Ti won't really give you anything new apart from the VST integration aspect, which I found fiddly anyway.

I've checked out the Nord synths a few times and was not impressed. It just sounded straight-up-the-middle and basic.

Well, the Virus TI has improved my creativity. No more need for 20+ VSTi's. The effects are also so good, they are actually useable in the mix, I don't have to search for a good FX, it's all there
