help with saving images

how come when i right click to save an image it always shows up to save as bitmap (example: untitled.bmp).. how can i change it so it automaticaly tries to save as original image name thats on website (example: porn.jpg)?

lol.. quit looking at porn!

no seriously, sometimes internet explorer just does that, it's annoying.

you can right click on the image, go properties, find out where it is located, copy that, paste it into the URL, and then go save as.

or go into your temp internet files and get it out.

but i want it back to normal where i could right click, save image as and the filename .jpg would already be there

i know the method you said works, i've tried it before, but its too much of a hassle for such a small task

This happens if you have exceeded your offline cache quota.
For instance by default Explorer may only save up to 100MB of pages that you look at to your hard drive - for future fast look-up. When it writes full 100MB, it doesn't do it anymore untill it frees up old data.
If you see this happening, try going to internet options and deleting temp. internet files, then restart explorer and it should work.
