I was wondering how the copyright works for the tranceaddict picks.

I made a dream journal (Liquid Dream III) that can play songs at random times in the middle of the night and was hoping to include a few vocal / trance tracks with the download. Although I am only using 5 – 30 second snippets, I know that fair use does not allow for this.

Do I need to get permission from the DJs or do DJs simply like it if you remix / promote their stuff and it is all good?

And no , that isn't what encompasses fair use if you plan to make it available to the public.I am quite certain however that no dj or producer will care about your dream journal so go nuts.
