my built in pc sound isnt loud?

hey yall

i just bought this new computer its a new hp..i used to use a older version of this same comp..

everything is working fine

but the built in audio drive is low as fuck on my headphones...even when everything is on max level.i get like a just barely listenable level..id say the max level on here would be barely medium on my old pc..

i know it aint my headphones..cus these are beats by dre and they work perfectly fine on my old pc..just this brand new one..is acting strange...i dont know what it is..

is there anything i can download to make my computers speakers louder?

i thought about getting a sound card..but imma have to wait a few weeks for that..

Are you sure you're computers low because every computer I've ever had sounded low coming straight from the outputs? Unless theres a preamp somewhere along the way I think thats normal to sound low like that.
But if you spend $15-$20 just go to radioshack and get a cheap pair of amplified speakers. Sure the amp will suck, and you'll prob get a bit of amplified noise or distortion, but its really nothing imo. I mean it doesn't sound like you have a sound card in the first place so no room to be picky. Anytime I use headphones though I need an amp somewhere along the line otherwise its hard to hear certain lower sounds in the mix. Once I got my echo though that pretty much ended.

edit: Also this is stupid but I've done it before myself. Sometimes just raising the volume bar on the bottom right won't do it, and if you double click on it make sure all the volume tabs besides master volume is up. Its such a small thing but if you haven't checked you prob should take a look.

check your audio controls, some new computers with certain soundcards have "volume boosts" you can apply. I had a gateway with that

Or check the volume control in the PC software, the headphones and the driver for the built in soundcard.

Next up, get a soundcard and some proper headphones.
