Dirtbox Divas - Dominate 2.0

Dominate2point0 Played a little further. Still not sure. by Dirtbox Divas

Heya folks,
Rich and I have been working on a new offering, we thought we would give you a demo blast. It’s still a WIP but we are pretty pleased with it so far. We would very much appreciate any feedback that you may have good or bad.
We acknowledge that it is still bass heavy but we hope that you will be able to see where this is going and give input the way you usually do.
Cheers
Nem

Relax, don't do it..............

Sounding great so far

edit - that's not a flippant back patting comment btw, you've already mentioned it's bass heavy, and the rest does sound great!

He he, I know what you mean about the bass. But it's actually me playing bass along with the track. Figured I would add a live sound in there.
I then rolled off the bottom end giving it that Frankie sound but it works for me.

Thanks for checking it out though.

Cheers
Nem

Tehlord - actualy that's a brilliant idea - 'Relax don't do it' over the intro would be great - has anyone done a remix of that Frankie track already?

It has been done, but we could just make sure we make it stand out. It would work pretty well me thinks.

Ever - I mean a proper decent release, not a youtube remixfest.

I don't remember anything being done for ages.

The old FGTH/Trevor Horn combo was the best sounding pop ever made imo.

There are a load of 12" remixes on spotify, you might get some more naked samples of there.

I actually checked out some of the remixes around and most of them are either too close to the original or so gash that it’s not even funny. I know I have heard remixes, but never heard one that makes me think, wow that has really done a lot to bring back this track to the modern age. That said, its already a giant in its own right so it’s by no means a Mickey Mouse task to do this but I am up for the challenge.

It actually lends itself pretty well though as it was almost a dance track right from the start anyway. Did a youtube search and most of what I found was shite. Mostly mash ups that said some sounded alright but there is no clear outstanding actual remix as I could find, that said, not saying it doesn’t exist.

I recall the original 12" remixes are around Spotify?

They're great. The rest as you say are shite.

There was a 'guide to remixing' version of Rage Hard that was superb

Around 1.00 is where the track starts for me. Sounding solid, as always. I'm not good at giving feedback to short clips, so I'll wait until you're both finished before I say more.
