....to Service Pack 3 and for some reason the download stopped halfway through. Gave no reason why. It then said it was reverting to the point before the update, but I guess it never truly did because my laptop is now fucked. It turned off on me and when i turn it on, it just shows a small blue box and then turns off.
Any suggestions on how to fix? Do I need to call Will Smith so he can save the day?

Restart the computer, once the BIOS screen appears keep pressing F8 on the keyboard. Select Last Known Good Configuration. That's a start.

It didn't go anywhere when I kept pressing F8, but strangely enough the comp booted.
Is there anything [updates, etc] I can do right now to prevent it from happening again in, say, 10 minutes or so, or in the future?

id download the entire SP3 exe (can you do that, i could for 1 & 2?) and then run it manually.
