Hope you all dig. Feedback would be great as well. even if it's as negative as mad for brad's thoughts, all comments are welcomed. =]

Mr Chavez. I applaude your effort. It takes a lot to remix one of the greatest groups of all time. And I commend you on your abilities. The sounds however a bit flat for me. The bass, seems like a monotone note the whole way through. Needs something. The actual melody I would fatten up a little. It seems like its just "there". I made it through the entire track and its definitely good. Just, when doing Depeche Mode it needs to be "great" as they are.

Commenting as I listen:

The clap sample is aawwfullllll. Got to go! The kick drum sample isn't really my taste either, it sounds empty.

That bass has absolutely no energy, it's like... a sine wave, and the little synth over it just sounds random and out of place.

The track really, so far lacks much of a melody at all, and the vocal samples are a bit random and out of place.

That said, there's totally potential here, and there are neat little percussion sounds and effects (did you make them? They're cool) But the track generally has bad sound design and needs a lot of work in that area and melodically.

For such a melodic track, I would strongly recommend putting the bass line on tune, as it sounds very off when you're fading out the melody. Also, it just looks like this track could reaaaally use better samples; I have a strong feeling that better instruments with little structure change could really overhaul this.

This is one of my favorite tracks from Depeche Mode, and I find that you're not putting enough vocals in it (the lyrics are awesome)

i agree, i would like to put more vocals into it but just don't know how to do so without it sounding warped. albeton is very sensitive to wav time adjustments... at least that i can tell. Any tips for abelton wav manipulation? I could really use some tips, 3 weeks new at producing.
