the statement you made is VERY VALID. So valid, that if i was the council i would take the fact that one of the head honchos of the BIGGEST event in the city wasnt even in attendance.

I still haven't seen any testimony that if I was part of the city council it would make me say, FUCK YES! I'M ALL FOR IT!!!

I just watched the whole thing and wow, they are passionate. I think they managed to get the one lady on their side. She mentioned they should go to Sacramento. Shoot, I wanna go if they do decide to go.

Haven't seen any coverage of it.

The whole issue with last night is 95% of what was said was in regards to Assembly Bill 74 with Fiona Ma and wasn't what the hearing was about. It was about the crackdowns in the city itself. Of which few people spoke about. Even the panel was bringing it up throughout the night.

You should've. They all had their hearts on the right place and were very passionate, but most pretty much said the same thing and were not very convincing. One thing I learned, is that they have to present convincing argument with hard evidence and a solution to the problem. Most just said the same thing but never offered a solution.

IMO, that's not convincing enough. From what I saw, there were only a few people that were on point but the one who stood out the most was the mechanic/body shop manager. Something like that.

That guy started reading the speech, stopped, than said SCREW IT. He then went on to point out THE TRUTH about the scene. He mentioned how it's not the music, it's THE PROMOTERS & VENUES who don't enforce tight security, there's no complete pat downs, and how some venues just turn a blind eye. He also said how the city of LA is now doing PSA's about it. You can tell he got their attention because they kept asking him questions. They asked him if he thinks PSA's work, he hesitated and said YES. That guy had an impact on the city council. You can tell, because at the end they kept referring back to him. He did an excellent job.
