so im walking into mcdonalds this morning..and this btich walks up to me and her nose is running, she ask me for a dollar for a coffee..so i pause and i give one to her cus a.she was black and b. She looked cold and it was raining..than she has the audocity, to ask me for another dollar for a hamburger (mind you its the morning) i politely said no because she aint even thank me for the first one, than she proceeds to walk out of the store..and i said hey arent you getting a coffee..and she said im gonna get one at tim hortons.....(there wasnt a tim hortons in site)...

Anyways she reminded me why i dont give to the homeless in this godforsaken city.

i give em Hope....

Next time say I want coffee too, I'll get you one. What do you take cream and sugar?

Btw, this is standard operating procedure for the homeless. Same thing happened to me a few weeks back.

haha yeah, if you actually want your money going to food etc, you have to buy it for them.

I never give money anymore, mostly because i'm broke, and need the money for smokes and booze for myself, but also because it becomes annoying after being asked 50 times a day walking through tha citeh...

I personally don't care what they spend my money on, I'm in no position to tell them that food is better than booze of drugs, it usually isn't

I generally will buy them some food, or give them something to eat if i have it on me. I don't give them money, i will however give my money to charities that support the homeless.

Will you still buy them food if they look over weight?

I do, but after awhile my local grocery store bum saved up and got a medical scooter that he would ride around in and he pretended like he was paralyzed so I cut him off.

In Manchester they have secure, homeless charity boxes on the streets. They encourage you not to give them any money directly, but only to do so through the charities. I did that whenever I had any change and one was nearby.
