Akai pro mpk mini & Reason 5 issue

Hey guys, I bought an akai pro mpk mini yesterday and I'm trying to get Reason 5 to work with it, but the only thing that works are the keys but I can't get the knobs to work with any parameter of my choosing and that goes for the pads too. Under control surfaces, then Aki, the mpk mini doesn't show up, only the older models.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

hmm...i guess no one knows

i don't know anything about midi mapping or cc's, so i'm pretty lost here and getting frustrated. I just want to be able to control reason's synth parameter with the knobs because i'm tired of trying to do things with mouse.

Come on guys, someone here must know about how midi controller ccs are set up and what not....i'm a newb!

when i right clik on a reason's parameter and select 'edit remote controle mapping', i can get the physical knob to control the virtual one.....but there is no transition...it jumps from 0 to 127 rather than having smooth transition. I don't get it. I even opened the akai editor and for knob 1 changed the setting for 'hi' to 127 but still just jumps from 0 to 127 without any other value coming in play....

the default package is wrong

instead of any of the akai presets, select 'other'.
then click the 'find' button and it will at that point id the mpkmini.
if you use akai presets, reason treats the knobs like buttons. that's why it jumps from 0 immediately to 127. don't know how i noticed that, but using 'other' worked.
