How to get this sound in Logic pro 8?(Videos included)

This technique appears to be quite popular in progressive/tech trance(Cosmic Gate uses it a lot)

If you don't know what Im talking about its the "boom.boom, boom" sound(maybe its the bass drum I don't know) Anyway Im curios to know how one does this in Logic? Thanks in advance by the way!

Hmm I don't think its the kick drum,it sounds like an effect of some sorts.Go to 0:30 on the first video where theres no kick or clap, its there(the boom, boom sound)

edit:Might be the click, thats making that noise.

You mean the pumping effect? It's a sidechained pad.

make an audio track with no out put with a kick on every beat.

open a compressor on the track you want to side chain

in the top right corner there is a place to route the side chain and do it to the audio channel that the silent kick is on

then fuck with the threshhold, ratio, and release, try differ comp settings too.

lastly, dont be a wannabe cosmic gate.
