Massive Quake Hits Japan!
Magnitude 8.8 quake has hit 250 miles from Tokyo and there are numerous Tsunami warnings out right now, some incredible video of a tsunami hitting a portside area in Japan on Al Jazeera...

My brother is in Kobe and said he didn't feel it, but he said people in Osaka, just a few miles (well like 100 miles) away felt it.

Lira last I know of was in the Nogoya area, far inland, he wouldn't be in danger. Miyagi is very far in the north. I am sure he is fine.

I have several friends in Kochi, I hope it's far enough south that it didn't get hit too hard. I'm waiting to hear from them, I'm sure the cell networks in Japan are going crazy right now, so getting through with e-mail may be tough. :/

omg that's terrible
i was about to post in the c0r about how my house started to flood a little bit and i spent the past 2 hours battling back water that was pouring in at 2 small spots, creating maybe 5square feet of damage at the most
that's fuckin terrible, so depressing to hear. wow
