I don't mind the dimensions, but the KB size is frustratingly limited. 35kb for avatars?

When was this last changed btw? 2000?
I'm sure all of the users can handle 100kb avatars

No, thanks. Pain in the ass, especially if you're on a phone. I'd rather not have to load 2 mb of gifs for every page.

sigs should be a lot bigger with the option of turning all sigs off. not sure if the ability to turn all sigs off is available or not.

It's a tough one, because of the way sigs here are policed, I leave them on whereas on some places they're really unruly & annoying.

35kb is enough of a size to have a decent avatar -- it also prevents people from having crazy huge animated gifs in there
