Ive got one and past a few qualls about it I tend to use it quite often. If you have to have 4 decks and be portable its the only real choice there is.

Some of my quelms about it are that I dont care for the rotary pitch knob. I hate that you cant scratch with it (even though the small wheels would still make it difficult) and my biggest gripe over it is if the play button isnt hit directly on center. The song will play a half second blip and stop.... VERY annoying. The only other gripes are to adjust the cross/up faders you have to use a menu in itch so its hard to do on the fly. Also to use the Mic input you have to use channel 4 as a thru for the mic audio. So you loose a deck to talk over the mic. Only other nitpick is the press down buttons feel cheap and have quite a bit of distance to be pushed before doing what you want.

As for everything else it works like an A&H product always does. Very well. Id recommend one to someone wanting a MIDI controller that dosent care about scratching and needs something portable and reliable. BTW to get it as a mixer for external inputs (like your CDJ's or 1200's ect ect) it must be hooked up with Itch running. Otherwise it wont do anything.

If you do get one enjoy it. It grows on you.

Wow, sounds like a real steal for $1000.

I got the dx. It is so freeking cool! I dj with m5g's and the ttm57sl. I play mostly hip hop when im in front of crowds. As of right now i plan on keeping this in the bedroom but who knows... i will say mixing 4 decks which are auto beatmatched is waaay harder than mixing with tts. Its a mind fuck! There are soo many things going on at once and so many ways to mess up. This kit is very refreshing for me its something new and exciting!

Sounds like there are too many negatives than positives.

I'd get the Traktor S4 if you're looking for something like this.

I personally would say get CDJs, such as the older models or even 2nd hand CDJs and a 2nd hand mixer. Keep looking around, lots of people selling their gear as they want to upgrade and get the newer tech.
