| quote: | Toronto FC Honeymoon Period Officially Over
Got nothing to do this Saturday? Why not pop down to BMO Field to see TFC take on the Portland Timbers, There are plenty of tickets available.
That`s right, Toronto FC`s home opener is not sold out and according to the Toronto Sun newspaper there are plenty of tickets available for fans even if you wanted two together. The Toronto Sun says, "Ticketmaster.ca shows a wide array of tickets can be purchased in sections 104-to-106 in the $51.00 to $75.50 range." The newspaper also said up to 8 tickets are available together a first in TFC history.
As the club enters its fifth MLS season, it appears the City`s love in with the club is strained with excessive ticket prices that continue to rise for a product that has not really shown any improvement on the pitch.
Saturday`s 4-2 loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps would have done little to sway those who are sitting on the fence. TFC used to boast a waiting list of over 10,000 fans waiting for season tickets, have they been put off by tickets that are more expensive than those to watch Manchester United?
The fans who are there will be passionate as ever but it`s a worrying trend, TFC need to improve the product on the pitch and listen to the fans off it, to avoid alienating their fan base even more so.
