So, have you recorded anything while wasted?

Last night, after several hits of quality weed, I recorded 70 mins of what can be described as ambient/trippy/psychedelic stuff. Parts of it sound awesome and there's absolutely NO friggin way I'd be able to create some of these sounds again, even if I tried. I'm actually sad I didn't have a total recall sort of recording.

It's almost ... art...

Maybe we should start sharing some of our "opuses" - if nothing else for LULz..

would you show yours if i show mine?

I actually couldnt produce shit while I was using drugs. I've been clean for about 9 months and I've been able to make some decent stuff. It was probably because when I was using it was DXM, speed, mushrooms and extacy most of the time....cant write music when you are obliterated on DXM. glad I got clean.

Haven't done any 70 min opuses, but I've noticed better melodies from me whilst under the influence.

I have a track while totally blazed to all hell but it's unfinished and I doubt it's even worth sharing.

Should be interesting to hear what people post.

recorded ambient EP with a friend in one hour in one take (ep length 45 minutes) other 15 minutes were spent on mixing/mastering and naming it. all of it while tripping balls on significant amount of shrooms if anyone cares to hear it:

Weed seems to always give me additional insight and resolves some creative barries if used sporadically but is however absolutely terrible for mixing/mastering or if used daily.

I am useless if I produce while drinking. Never really tried with any other substance.

I don't remember the last time I wrote a melody without being at least a little stoned, but that's the only time I work high. Producing is fucking impossible unless I'm sober

Direct recording last night, an LP that can be described by the title.

When you're ready - just sit back and enjoy the
journey from start to finish. It gets really REALLY interesting at times, and I have no idea how I ended up in that space...

but I was glad to have visited... It's very experimental and meant to be enjoyed for what it is - don't try to find structure, meaning, sense.

Oh and clicks/pops are un-intentional but whatever..

p.s. my first "publicly-released" track/album (maybe it's a good thing)

How do you guys do those long ass tunes lol? I always end up playing the same 3 second loop for an hour
