So I went a grabbed a $100 DJ coffin from teh music store today.... my mixer fits the width (10"), but it is only about two-thirds of the depth. How should I prevent it from sliding around when I carry the coffin around? I have similar concerns in regards to the table (they fit nicely, but what if they fall towards the "ceiling" of the coffin and the tone arm gets bent, etc.....) not being secured... Advice? Examples?

get some foam sponge-like material kind of like what the inside of the coffin is made where the turntables rest, and cushion the mixer with it

you should be able to buy some brackets so your mixer will fit in perfectly

well, it's a risk screwing on the coffin, because the vampire could open it up, and you and your girl would fall off.

well. you might scratch your mixer. i would suggest you use rubber washers. also.. i think it would be better not to screw it in, that way it is free to move a little, and won't move the whole coffin if you shake it, so the needles might not skip.
? i dunnknow, mine are on a table, and the needles skip if i get excited and start slamming the crossfader back and forth.

Alrighty....
as far as the TTs - when I turn the coffin vertical (like I would carry it by the handle), they slide half an inch and push on the cables which I have laid down behind the table..... and the slipmat falls off the platter. Am I suppose to be storing the slipmats separately? Should I turn the table around so that the front of them are facing the middle of the coffin (so the wires aren't pressured when I carry it)?
the mixer - I swear it's a ten inch mixer, but it doesn't quite fill the width (as you can see in the pics, there are small gaps on each side or a bigger gap if I move it to one side (like I was gonna drill holes and screw it in). Suggestions?
I gotta leave for college Friday, so speedy replies are appreciated.
