Choosing an amplifier

I recently got a pair of Linear Phase 8812 speakers (Nice and cheap back-of-a-lorry job ) and I'm not really sure what to get in the way of an amp. The power rating is 125W max per monitor, I understand this means I should be looking at a 60-70WPC amp? Or something more? I'm on a budget and only really using them for amateur producing at the moment, although I'm saving up for TT's etc so I will want something that will suit a bedroom DJ too.

Can anyone give me advice?

Tube Amplifiers Sound the Best with Records. If you can find one for cheap go for it. You will be AMAZED at the SQ

hmm.. intersting. i bet they do. i remember the sound of my parents old tube stereo.

so what are some good tube amps? I'd like to get one that puts out about 100-200 watts/channel and is built well.

tube amps have such a clear+fulfilled sound.

i'd say they kick ass. but i think they're WAY too expensive
