Was just getting ready to post the same. People seem to be browsing but not starting threads.

TA has been on a very long slope downhill for years, in terms of participation. For instance, the year 2005 in the COR spans from page 1417 to page 1099, sorted chronologically. That's 318 pages of threads for just one year!

Compare that to 2010, which takes up only 112 pages of the list (from page 164 to page 52).

I suppose it's at least possible that there hasn't been any decline -- that there are far fewer threads, but with almost three times as many posts -- but I don't know how likely that is. I checked in MD months ago and the same trend was visible.

The random talking and pictars thread eats into that count defo.

it got boring.

When I first joined TA, i thought the c0r was way to busy. i felt like i couldn't keep up with what was going on. but i was just a noob back then too. but it seemed like it was moving much faster.

either way, i still enjoy coming here.

Early TA normal ppl who liked edm hung out here, now the cor is home for social misfits and deviants who have no lives.

People don't create new threads becausethe environment here isn't conducive to friendly or intelligent discussion. People don't participate in threads because most topics quickly fracture and disintegrate into the same ppl arguing over the same useless shit.
