Hi, basically I wanted to slowly fade in for the intro of a song with kick and melody so i created a automation clip for both and faded it in but now I want to seperate the melody and have that fade down whilst still keeping the kick the same volume, anyway around it?

Don't link the volume of the kick and lead, yea? You could also "Edit Events" rather then Automation clip.

Just unassign the kick from the automation. Just right click on it and go to "link to controller" and reset it there.
