Hi fellow aussies, I'm just wondering whether anyone is on iiNet.

I joined about 2 weeks ago. There's been a newly-formed Direct Connect file sharing group just for iiNet NSW users (WA users have had their network for ages), and since downloads from other iiNet users within the same state is free, then we can get "un-quota'd" downloads through this group 24 hours per day!

But don't connect to their DC Hub unless you can afford the quota (data is from WA) or it's during Bliink time (12am to 7am - downloads are free). There is actually a lot of nice stuff on their network though.

The DC Hub that some iiNet NSW users have just started up is:

I'm only sharing about 600MB of MP3s though since I'm running out of disk space, but you're welcome to download any stuff I have. I'm only on a 256/64 too, I might upgrade to 512/128 if I think I need it.

If you're not on iiNet, check out their plans at www.iinet.net.au. They've been getting good comments on whirlpool.net.au forums, which is one reason why I chose them for broadband internet.

Yes I lknow WAIX is only for WA users, but NSW iiNet users have started to set up their own file sharing Network to freely share files through. If we can get enough iiNet trance lovers onto the DC hub then iiNet users can D/L trance (and anything else) 24h/day without data getting counted towards usage quota.

So if you're on iiNet and you have trance, get onto the DC Hub so we can share each other's trance. If you're not on iiNet, then consider getting onto it. iiNet's website is http://www.iinet.net.au.

yeah i'm on the ta dc hub...most ppl will know me as warped on there, never realised there was a hub on iinet and i've been joined for like 3 years now

I think there's great potential for this Australian file sharing group to become very big... they took away Napster and Audiogalaxy, let's see if they can take away DirectConnect file sharing... I don't think they can.

The NSW group is still in it's infancy, it's only a couple or so weeks old, but it has been growing and will continue to as more people join.

iinet also has streaming trance from one of their servers, trance.iinet.net.au:8001 and 8002 I think... there's a message thread on forums.whirlpool.net.au about it. People seem to like it.

Cool to hear that the DC hub is taking off on iiNet .. I would be joining you guys but my housing circumstances are about to change drastically and I can't afford long term contracts
