I have gone a very long time without having piano or strings in my DAW. Can anyone recommend a couple plugins with nice piano sounds that I can deploy into my productions? And perhaps one for strings as well. Thank you!

For strings I usually use Spectrasonics Atmosphere. For piano Pianoteq.
They are very good for what I need, but there are better ones(and way more expensive) surely.

East West have a 2 for 1 sale on at the minute-some decent pianos and strings in there.
Also some of the native instruments pianos are pretty good. Haven't tried their session strings though

If you haven't already got Kontakt I'd recommend starting with that. There's a few nice pianos in there as standard and plenty in the way of strings and pads too. You'll also need it for the majority of the better sample libraries out there.
One very good standalone piano plugin is Truepianos.

Cool, thanks. Many considerations. Any chorus you guys use in particular that you enjoy to get it nice sounding on your pianos?

For a freebie, you could try to find the Kjaerhus Classic chorus, or got with Blue Cat Audio's free chorus.
Tone2 WarmVerb (not free) has some excellent chorus modules, as well as dozens of other effects - very good for extremely "wet" sounding FX.
Valhalla ÜberMod will be released soon, so you might want to keep that on your radar. I'm guessing it will be in the same price range as the other excellent Valhalla products (~$50 USD).
