It's so obviously lacking that I've often wondered if the lack of an appointed PR person might be intentional, maybe to procure a sense of mystery. Francis does a great job for Circus, and his value is readily apparent, which only highlights Stereo's lacking of someone in the same position. There was a time when they were doing so badly that they couldn't pay the staff, so I understand it may not have been an option then, but now I don't see that as being an issue. That leaves only the explanation I mentioned before, bad management, or a complete lack of awareness of how they are perceived by their patrons. At least as far as I can see it.
Edit: I guess I'm looking beyond just the announcement of gigs here, but that is also a major issue for them. I really doubt their bookings are being done a month in advance, which means they should have artists under contract well before, and ready to announce so that people can plan accordingly.
