Pioneer CDJ-2000 & USB [Question]

Hey guys,

I'm spinning at a club here in New York City and lately I've gotten my hands on a lot of new music. As it is, it is not worth it for me to keep burning CD's, so I've decided to go the USB route. i wanted to know, however, if there was a particular or favorite USB for the Pioneer CDJ-2000? If there is a type of USB stick -- a brand, if you will -- that is known for working really, well with these decks -- I want it. Can anyone please offer any solid sticks that are good in quality, durable and trust-worthy?

Also, as I no longer own my decks, I never really cared about going into USB mode. If I remember correctly, all I have to do is click the USB-button and I'm there, right? Would it be better if my Pioneer-dedicated USB drives don't have any folders within them, just audio files? I really don't want to give myself problems when I go up to spin; unfortunately, burning all the new tunes I have to CD's is not an option.

Don't worry about the folders, it's super easy to navigate. Just make sure the club has their players mixed which I'm sure they will.

I might be wrong on this but I think you organise the folders using rekordbox. My mate got himself some cdj 2000's recently and it's really easy to browse and select tracks but I've never seen him organise them.

Pretty sure it's Rekordbox though, it's free off the pioneer site to download.

I use the Lacie Iamakey 16gb drives, and 16gb Sandisk models. Sandisks will work just fine on 2000's. As longas they're the minimum 2.0 drives. The Lacie's were a gift so that's why I have them. But I stopped using sticks and went with a 1tb Lacie Rugged instead.

You do want to use Rekordbox first before you export them to the stick. Highly recommended. Folders....I have one big folder with all my tunes on it and that's as far as I get with the folders. With the exception of a private party(s) or something like that which require specific tunes.
