Hello! my 1st tune... reworked

Hello TA! ~1 year ago I decided to adventure my self in to the world of music production. With kindergarten knowledge about music theory and mastering things didn't worked to well for my 1st "track".
Since the melody had a special meaning for me I tried to remaster the project in the past 2-3 weeks.

Here it is...
Before
False Hope (1st master attempt) by Constantin Adomnicai

and....
After
Constantin Adomnicai - False Hope by Constantin Adomnicai

I am waiting for your honest opinions! Advises are more then welcome!

Respectfully, Constantin

I think hes asking for production feedback moreso, then promotion. here he gets feedback on composition not just someone going I like it or I dont,

That's still something he could ask for in Music Producer's Promotion. 80% of the people who listen to anything in that forum are going to be producers, anyway. If he wants feedback on his work, he should post in MPP with specific questions and give feedback to other people, as well. I will almost guarantee he'll receive feedback on his material if he does that.

When people post here, it's a cop-out. You're bound to find someone who's bored enough to help with a particular issue, here, and you don't have to give feedback to other people in order to get that. It only winds up cluttering up this forum, though, and makes for lazy music-making, in the end.

I like them both a lot man great work for 1 year experience imo. The ideas are simple and they somewhat work. I do not like the pad however during the break it doesn't have any breathing/life/texture type of quality to it.

The mid bass is ok it comes in clean at first but once the whole mix is slamming it seems to lose its pluckiness or presence in general. Just gets a bit muddy at that point although for the most part it seems you know what you are doing.

Theres really nothing like listening to newbie tracks sometimes they suck other times they teach you how important the basics can be. Like for me I see I've been lacking on my drums a lot lately and actually creating grooves with them. Usually rely on the bass for the groove then make the drums static sounding. Today I'm making some groovy drums its my day off why the hell not?

edit: Ok yeh it is muddiness in the bass but its more the decay settings are too long imo. I'd shorten the decay on the bass after the beat drops in you can leave it a bit longer for the intro to give it that phat feel but its meshing too much with the kick once the bass comes in. So shorten the decay and it should cut through the mix better, or even add some overdrive and a hipassed layer if you want.

I like it that he posted in here.. Great track.. and the only thing I would change, is maybe add a falling arpeggiation at the break emphasizing your melody.. Eh.. but what do I know.. Good work..

Outstanding sound choices and placement and the prescence and verbs coupled with playing style and chord progressions do set this apart. I hope this is not some pro - lurker having a little fun... maybe I'm just damned jealous, lol!

Hi there,

To be honest i couldn't stand your previous version of the song(no offence meant)....but the revamped version shows promise....

Bass needs work(as pointed out by fellow TA's) and so does the kick.

But the atmosphere is (I am jealous ! )

Cant wait to hear the completed track

Thanks,
Sylvannas
