My pre-Christmas splurge this year included a padKontrol that I got for super cheap off craigslist, Xfer Nerve, a Novation Impulse 25 and some Sennheiser HD280s.

I also decided to dissect my BX8A monitors that have been "broken" for the past 2 years and discovered the capacitors were oozing brown sludge. I pulled out a soldering iron for the first time in 18 years, replaced the caps, and had them fixed for less than $20, so I decided to celebrate by buying stands for them.

I now want to buy more stuff but I refuse to let myself. I think I have a problem.

Me too! I also picked up a few Waves plugins (SSL bundle, Maserati bundle, Vocal Rider) during the Black Friday sale. I'll probably add the Melodyne Editor 2.0 (just released today!) and call it good for this year.

I would LOVE a Kush audio maingain, but I'll probably settle for a SM pro Audio Nano patch 2.
