you guys asked for it, and it was bound to happen sooner or later. all colbert has to do is duck through a couple of bureaucratic hurdles and he's golden. he's actually leading jon huntsman in a recent poll as well.. and the Grand Ol' (circus) Party gets more interesting....

me as well. colbert superpac ftw. i have a feeling it's gonna get squashed before it starts, however- being that they don't accept write-ins without a lot of bureaucratic finesse on colbert's part.

the complete stupidity of the political system is shown with this. Hilarious and quite sad.

Haha, I'm watching yesterday's episode as I type. Hilarious!
These things happen in a democracy, Nachos, there's nothing stupid about it. I would be worried if the Republican Party really believed corporations really are people and let a corporation run for office. Unless that happens, it's quite refreshing that new challengers can appear during the race.

Well, they don't have to "believe" it, it is true according to the supreme court's ruling. If you don't think this is stupid you've lost 7 respect points in my ranking

The laws related to citizens united and super pacs are in fact not an example of democracy.

Well if you would read the article, you would know he is not entering the race as the state does not allow write in candidates. He may still campaign I guess.
I liked a comment from one of Colbert's recent guests: 'I'll believe corporations are people when Texas executes one!'
