Hey guys,

I thought in the past I had seen a dedicated thread for headphone recs, but I can't seem to find one, so I'm posting here.

I'm trying to decide between the three in the title (Ultrasone HFI-580, Beyerdynamic DT 770 and DT 990). I'm not going to be using these for any production or live mixing, so they'll be used entirely for listening (90% ambient and uplifting anthem type stuff, 10% electro, heavy house stuff, and random top 40 songs; most straight flac rips from cds, though some noncommercial tracks are 320). I don't have any real preference for open/closed, but an open set that will leak too much probably isn't a great idea, as I spend a decent amount of time around other people who probably won't want to hear much of my music.

I'm going to be listening primarily through my macbook pro, though I also will use my iPhone a bit, as well as my PC (powerful rig, but I don't have much as far as a soundcard goes...I'll deal with this later though). I'm probably going to couple whatever I buy with a fiio E11 amp and L9 lod, though if you guys have any suggestions on either of these, I'm open to changing my mind.

Excluding the E11 and L9, my budget is a strict $200 shipped (I have a gift card I want to kill, balance nontransferable). The one exception is if Amazon is used, I can put the money on an Amazon gift card, so the budget can be circumvented. Either way, I'd like to not go too far above $200 for the headphones themselves (I've heard the Denon AHD2000 is pretty sweet and might not require an amp though, so maybe I should go in this direction?).
