Anything else out there? I want people to be able to download my demo so they can listen to it in their car as I believe that is generally where the best sound systems are - especially compared to computer speakers.

it's totally worth having your own server space/domain if you take what you do seriously

I agree and intend to do that soon. Since my DJ name is already taken I'm going to put some time into coming up with one.
I think it is ironic that your signature is for Soundcloud... lol

Back when I was releasing stuff independently I had my own site where you could download .wavs and the artwork. Not doing that anymore (with this project anyway)

I have my own domain with storage and such, but I still use soundcloud.
Why? The player. Nobody wants to download an entire 100MB plus mixset until they've skipped through it to see if they like it.
There might be a soundcloud like player out there, but I haven't seen one quite so nice yet.

This... Plus, you also get more exposure on Soundcloud. Just for that reason alone I use all the sites mentioned above. The more exposure, the better.

I didn't go with Soundcloud because of the 100MB restriction and you can only have one mix up at time (that's my understanding anyway). It makes sense to to take the exposure into account from a highly trafficked site, but I really just wanted somewhere that I could link to myself. I will post and promote it myself.
Just a friendly reminder.. Cause I'm a real stickler in the dj booth!

Sorry! It won't happen again. I had actually already posted it over there and thought it was relevant to the conversation. My bad.
