does anyone know anyone that knows how to create intros for dj sets?

I was wondering if anyone knows how to create the intros for the beginning of dj sets.

for example armins intro goes like "close your eyes" and has sick intro and then he starts his set.

thanks for your help

sample some music, sample some movies, sample some whatever the hell you like, mix&mash&match it up, put at the beginning of the set, try to make it flow with your beats, and you got yourself an intro.

Of course you can try all those paid services but I don't have any experience of those so don't really know which one(s) of them screw you and which doesn't.

Try posting on the production board. I'm sure someone there will help you out.

dude. you don't want that. find good tracks to use as an intro. all the Balls to the wall, OVER-THE-TOP AWESOME (pause not) intros just scream "this mix is gonna be full of commercial bullshit, please follow me on facebook, and share with your friends "

make unique mixes and if you want to have an into for like a podcast make something simple short and not full of hype. like gust get a pretty voice going "hey your listening to Tranzation, enjoy the mix" and i would leave it at that. you don't need NASA counting down to your mix or a bunch of voices saying "Tranzation changing the way people listen to music... FOREVER." no one wants to here that. short and to the point.

i dont think i was criticizing him, to be honest i was thinking of the Armin, Shultz and intros of that epic nature. perhaps using his name in the example of what i think not to do, was harsh but there was no hard feeling intended. personally i don't thing epic intros are needed, that was the point i was trying to get across.

lol at examples.

I completely disagree with everything you said. There is nothing wrong with adding something to a set that adds a unique touch to it. there are a million ways to do intros without being corny. it can be something as simple as an a Capella or a spoken word piece layered over another track being slowly faded up. You can use field recordings of street noise or anything as well. An intro does not necessarily mean that it has to be cliche with Michael buffer saying, "Lets get ready to rumble" and some Kung Fu panda sound effects.
