Do you guys have any experience with buying tickets from scalpers at Ultra?

I know right now, its butt expensive but I heard that on the day of the event, theres people who are willing to get rid of them for a lot cheaper than what they are going for on Stubhub?

I think the waiting game is dangerous, especially if you really, really want to go. I'm sure prices will be between something reasonable and something outrageous.

Last year, I literally got tickets the day before Ultra. I was working at this print shop at the time and some guy the owner knew came in. He was talking on his phone and all I heard was "selling" "ultra" "tickets." Asked if he was selling any tickets and scored. He didn't even clean me out. Reasonably nice guy who even offered me a free VIP upgrade on day 3. Unfortunately my phone didn't have reception so I didn't get the call. :/

Even checked in on me the Monday after Ultra weekend to make sure I had fun.

I am one of the unfortunate who got a ticket, but now find I cannot go. It will be my first time missing it in 5 years

So does anyone know if I can put the ticket in someone elses name to have them pick up at will call. Right now it is set to be shipped out to me in March.... And I dont want to try to have to deal with fed ex over nighting it to my buddy. Then again he will pay for it since it sold out... I just know another $20 just keeps adding up...

i dont think u can change the name....id just keep it as being mailed, and then mail it to your friend

I agree you can't change the name and have it mailed to them. otherwise, the ticket company would have to deal with all the people that have scalped their tickets and sold to them to other parties.

Have your buddy pay for fedex as the tix are going for a lot more than you paid for them on stubhub.

legally the ticket has to be transferable. or so im under the impression. but this could prove to be such a huge hassle that honestly its probably not even worth looking into.

I'm still most likely going to sell off my Sunday ticket, fyi

If my friend is flaking, I might sell my 3 Day pass and just buy a ticket for Sunday.
