Get decks, this way you have access to the same music you would on cd, and to the music you wouldn't that is vinyl exclusive. Traktor sucks.

Yes. Serato is more stable with better latency. I've never had it crash on me. I've seen traktor crash many times.

Truthfully it comes down to personal preference. Both do the same thing. It's a matter of what you're comfortable with. If vinyl is your thing then going with time coded vinyl makes more sense. I use both on Traktor. If I'm doing a house party in backyard or I have to set up under or something, I go with time coded cd's over vinyl to eliminate cleaning the vinyl every twenty minutes from the dirt and dust in the air.

IMO, I've run both Serato and Traktor and never had issues with either software. Again personal preference. I prefer Traktor because it syncs better with my other software and I prefer it over Serato.

oh stfu. I've used Traktor many times and it never crashed. Jay you know I respect your opinion but I also know that you have never really used Traktor. I never used Serato so I will never speak about it even though a lot more DJs use Traktor which could easily lead me to make certain assumptions regarding which is better than the other. And when have you seen it crash? The one or two times you went out clubbing in the last 5 years?

Actually I don't even use it anymore. The last 3 gigs I had I played CDs/USB and vinyl, so...

I still use Traktor mainly to record mixes. You are not likely to see me play out with it (but it's a matter of preference, nothing to do with the software itself).

I like this answer better and you know this. Traktor killed my family. I guess I've always hated it and always will.

Edit: btw 4 to 5 years ago I was still partying A LOT, but you wouldn't know this because you were a trance cracker then. I had to grow up sometime man.

Are you gonna come see me play before heading off to China? I'm playing Daome again early September.
