I just found this article and it's a incredibly fascinating read in to one of the audio (and DJ) industry's most influential people, and aside from being the creator of intimidation Mixers (thread on that soon), how he invented DVS, only for the technology to be stolen and claimed as their own by the big companies we know now (serato, NI, Stanton, Rane).

Some really amazing stuff in this such such as RZA (wuTang) helping to pioneer the idea, and how backhanded the major DJ brands are.

That's not the same Numark company as we know now - the Numark one he's talking about was $3k a pop.
