I suck at cleaning records

Stupid question but might aswell but this here.

So I have this electromagnetic-whatever cleaning cloth and brush but when I clean one side the other side gets all dusty because it sticks to the slipmat.

Do I need a liquid cleaning solution or what?

It's only like 3 months olds. I don't have a dust protection case though. Isn't there a way to clean the damn thing?

Is your room very dry? Is there a lot of static in your environment? Also it's possible that you just have really shitty slipmats - for example one of mine is branded Numark and is made from a foamy material which is different from the standard ones that you tend to see, and records stick to it all the time. But when I played my records at a friends place the other day that wasn't happening.

I'd suggest to cover your decks with something when not in use or your bound to have dust issues, one of the downsides of vinyl. As for cleaning the slip mat, I just run a vaccume cleaner over mine every so often, I've never tried washing them so I don't know if that's a good thing to try or not? Maybe someone else may have a better solution.
I also use record cleaning solution and it works excellently for actually cleaning the records.

Slip mats get dirty all the time. There isn't much you can do about it except to put cover them or to put them in jackets/sleeves and brush them/clean them every now and then. However, to clean your records, you should be using this.

Mine seems sort of rubberish, maybe I need to get a better one. I'll try vacuuming it.

What you have is pretty much the opposite of a slip-mat. Unless the bottom of it is non-stick, which I suspect is the case. Sounds like some space-age stuff!

no it is a slipmat, I don't mean that they stick when I'm bending the record back/forward, but when I try to remove the record from the deck.

Static electricity attracts dust like nothing else.
