Heyall, are there many adelaide music producers out here?

Welcome to the board methose. Woohoo, it's great to see another person from Adelaide join the board! (mr_stamper is also from here)

In answer to your question, I don't have a clue :-( although I know that mid-town records (on Rundle Street) have a very nice recording and production studio out the back.

Mind you, I'm really interested in producing, but I don't know where to start (I've done a lot of classical musical training and I'd like to apply it to the trance genre).

Yeh the reason i ask is because i'd really like to seek out a few people(local of course) that have a keen interest in electronic music, to share ideas and maybe even create a few killa tracks. I've been working with a few people at the moment just generating nice sweet PHATT sounds. and some kewl drum loopz and a few tunes that get my feet moving and its a hell load of fun. i have also just bought a few hardware synths, drum machine and a 2 samplers and i wanna set up my own studio so hopefully we'll be making some sick tracks..

Yeh so i really would like to hear some of adelaide's talent and come up with a few new ideas

There arent any Adelaide producers on this board that i know of. I would love to produce as well but dont have the time/software/hardware/skill (i think thats about it) that i know of. For tips on producing head over to the producers section. There are some pretty good producers there!

You're talking about the Judge Jules night on 6th October? If you are, I'm most probably going along to that. Should be a good night and I guess it'll be packed. Speaking of which, I'd better pick up my ticket soon ($35?) otherwise it might sell out. Hmmm, I wonder if he'll sign my copy of Angelic - Stay with me?

Anyway, has anyone heard any of the Judge's sets recently? Hopefully he sticks to the trance and doesn't fill the night up with house. Mind you, I personally think that he's far better (technically) at mixing house than he is at mixing trance. When he plays trance the songs never seem to transition into one another smoothly. Mind you that's a biased opinion, cause I've only listened to about 4 of his live sets and they were all from 2001.

Agreed. I remember the first time I heard this song - it was during his homelands set from 2001 and I instantly said I had to get this song. The vocals are just so deep and meaningful. Am I right in saying the vocal are done by his wife?

Thanks for the recommendation mr_stamper. I had a quick listen to it just then, and I don't know if it's just me, but this song didn't really do that much for me? I mean, it's a nice song and all, but I don't think it's anywhere near as good as Stay with me.
