Seriously, I've NEVER encountered sensors with sit-down toilets. Urinals, sure. Sinks, sure. Hand dryers, sure.
Mind you, I live in Brisbane, which could explain it. Any of you more southern Aussies have fancy sensor sit-down toilets?
