According to my dealer friend:
1200 is the North american version
1210 is the euro version
I have a pair of 1200 MKII's and they are black........so all the 1210 differ by, is the use of an adapter. Any owners of 1210's care to fill me in on that?? or to see if my buddy was bluffin.

1210's have the voltage adapter (for European use), while the 1200's are for American use. It has nothing to due with the color from what I have read.

thats not right. in germany the names are:
SL - 1200 MK II silver
and
SL - 1210 MK II
so the black ones is the 1210 and the silver 1200.

If that's true it's the stupidest idea the people at Panasonic have ever had.

i do not think that they will print panasonic instead of technics on the tables. technics is a name, everybody knows it... it would be a big mistake.

Arrgghh not again. This discussion has been there for as long as Technics decided to make several models.
I just can say this. In most countries the only difference is the color : 1200 silver, 1210 anthracite black.
But in some parts of the world, the difference is wether it has a voltage selector or not (if I'm not mistaken 1200 has not, 1210 has).
So it all depends where the TT's where manufactured.
The US/Euro version thing is not true. If it was, why do I have silver 1200s with voltage switch, made in Germany for the Belgian market? I know I promised to post pictures sometime, but I still have to fetch a camera.
