hey all,

i was just wondering if there is anyone who wants to listen to my stuff and give some comments on it its not as good as stuff ive downloaded here from some of you, but hey, everyone has to start somewhere heheh..you can download my song here: http://kem.hapklaar.com/gi0vann1/Du...Storm_beta1.mp3

for some reason there is a lack of high frequencies..also the percussion and the strings are a bit weak and the melody is too simple heheh, ah well... pls give it a try

thats a mint track for your first attempt! i like the bouncy kind of bass that kicks in around 15 seconds! i also like the atmospheric kind of lead youve used that kicks in around the minute mark! nice arrangement but i feel its kind of lightweight! i dont know i think its a bit too long without enough depth to it, need a bit more harder, driving part to it to give it something more! but well done

good

I like your song. Just like you sad the melody is pretty simple, but it sounds good. It sounds like a commercial tune. But I think your really succeeded in the sounds you use. I like your synths. How did you make this or what programm did you use.

heey

thanks for replying and even more for postive replies

i used reason 2.0 to make this track..
and it is not really my first attempt.. i made some stuff with fruity loops and i installed reason 1.0, but i didnt understand the program at that time hehe (theres still so much to learn though, the program is so extensive). but this is the first track i finished completely

Okay, criticism first:

-The drumline needs more punch
-Needs more "meat" around the "bones" if you know what I mean (a warmer pad or something)
-Too much reverb on the main lead... and percussion (?)
-The title? What's up with that?!

That being said, the tune is certainly slightly on the better side of the "average"-mark.

It has pretty good potential but it lacks that final "kick in the ass" (so to speak).

You - hum - wouldn't mind if I remixed it, would you?

would be cool if you want to make a remix of it e-mail me if you need the .rsn file [email protected]

and about the title...i don't know one (yet)..and i was dying for a beer last night so..i dont think using my real name as an alias to make music isnt such a good idea...but ah well.. everything on its time

ill try to change things a bit later, with yours and bid dave's criticism in mind

I like it. Its simple melody makes it addictive. I agree that it sounds kinda commercial, like the stuff they play on the radio here occasionally.

i think its pretty good actually, it needs some improvements, its also switching @ some parts.

i dont think it sounds commercial at all, its just a typical trance tune but i think u could give it a better name. "have another beer?" sounds like a housey tune or maybe even techno

in all its pretty good as i said, and it certainly is above avg!

good job mate
