Noerg est fier de présenter Pan/Tone vs Sid LeRock dans le cadre de la série d’événements Deepfield, le 20 avril à l’Espace Réunion à Montréal. La première édition de Deepfield en novembre dernier avait remporté un franc succès auprès des amoureux de musique techno, qui ont pu apprécier la remarquable qualité des sets de Kalden Bess, Orbital Mechanics, Soundshaper, Ostrich, Bonus Beats et Wrong Jeremy. Avec cette soirée mémorable Noerg a prouvé une fois de plus que son nouveau concept maintiendrait les standards de qualité auxquels l’équipe nous a habitués.

Pour ce nouveau rendez-vous, Deepfield accueillera Sid S. Thompson qui donnera à voir les différentes facettes de son talent, lors d’un match de 2 heures, l’opposant à lui-même, dans une performance où s’affronteront ses deux projets Pan/Tone et Sid LeRock.

Canadien exilé à Berlin, Sid S. Thompson, dit Sid LeRock, est un producteur prolifique de musique électronique en activité depuis 1998 qui définit sa musique comme « Rockno », c’est à dire une performance de musique électronique parsemée d’erreurs humaines et d’improvisations, mettant l’accent sur l’instinct, et qui confèrent à ses prestations une électricité particulière, proche du rock’n’roll. Sous le nom de Pan/Tone, il a également prouvé sa capacité à composer des pièces mélodiques qui s’adressent plus directement à la piste de danse. Fort de 6 albums et plus de 50 EPs, il est associé aux prestigieux labels Kompakt et Shitkatapult. On lui doit aussi des remixs remarqués de Depeche Mode.

Noerg is proud to present Pan/Tone vs Sid LeRock as part of the series of events Deepfield, on April 20, 2012 at Espace Reunion, in Montreal. The first edition of Deepfield last November was a great success with Techno music lovers, who appreciated the remarkable set performed by Kalden Bess, Orbital Mechanics, Soundshaper, Ostrich, Bonus Beats and Wrong Jeremy. With this memorable evening, Noerg was able to prove once again, that their new concept, will maintain the quality standards to which they have accustomed us to.

For this next rendez-vous, Deepfield will be hosting Sid S. Thompson, who will see to the various facets of his talent, in a match of two hours, the opponent being himself, in a performance which will play its two projects, Pan/Tone and Sid LeRock.

Canadian living in Berlin, Sid S. Thompson aka Sid LeRock, is a prolific producer of Electronic Music, and has been in operation since 1998. He describes his music as "Rockno". Electronic Music, sprinkled with human errors and improvisations, focusing on instinct, gives his performances a special sound and energy that is close to rock'n'roll. Pan/Tone, released 6 albums and over 50 EPs, acclaimed for doing remixes for Depeche Mode and is associated to prestigious labels such as Shitkatapult and Kompakt, compose melodic pieces, that cater more directly to the dance floor.
